This past week Boost the Boro members were moving toward their goals at their monthly meeting. The members discussed improving the view of Bladenboro Farmer’s Market, the 10th Annual Beast Fest, upcoming ribbon cuttings and more.

Secretary of Boost the Boro, Joyce Walters, presented information she gathered on having the overgrowth cut back to improve the view on the north side of the Farmer’s Market on Hwy 211/Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The group decided to table the decision about having the overgrowth cut back after taking a tour of the road side.

More information about the work needed to be done to the overgrowth will be provided at the next meeting.

Chairman, Don White announced the organization will have a new website soon to assist with communicating and advertising the events and information from Boost the Boro.

Committees were formed to for the festival. More information about the Beast Fest will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
