Boost the Boro President Terry Nance called September’s meeting to order at 7pm on the 14th in the Bladenboro Historical Building. It was a thinner crowd than in previous months, but not by much. Mr. Nance opened the meeting with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Secretary Ashley Norris read last month’s minutes and they were unanimously approved. Treasurer Don White presented the year-to-date finance report, and both the Beast Fest budget and the general budget for the year will be met; all of this year’s planned projects are funded. This report was also unanimously approved.

Mr. Nance updated the membership about the upcoming softball tournament, by informing them that there are six teams entered for the competition. He also reminded everyone that there will be a BtB cleanup at Wateree Park this Saturday, the 18th, from 9am until noon. Hamburgers will be provided.

It was announced that L.B. Herndon will be painting the wall of the Medicine Shoppe, and Sykes Paving will be making those improvements to the parking lot; this will all be done well before Beast Fest.

The remainder of the meeting was turned over to Beast Fest chairman Charles Ray Peterson, who queried each of the Fest committees with updates on their respective schedules. All standing committees were where they should be at this point in the planning or are ahead of schedule.

With all tees crossed and eyes dotted, the meeting adjourned at 7:57pm.
