Boost the Boro is sponsoring a men’s and women’s softball tournament this weekend at Wateree Park in Bladenboro. Three women’s teams and five men’s teams are competing.
The Troopers and Luna Chics open the women’s tourney Friday at 7 p.m. The winner of that game will play the Bad News Bears at 8:00.
The men’s tournament begins Friday night at 9:00 with the Weekend Warriors battling The Dogs. Men’s play continues Saturday at 9 a.m. with Bladen Off Roads playing the Old Timers followed at 10:00 by the Nasty Boys playing the Weekend Warriors/The Dogs winner.
The double-elimination tournament concludes Saturday with the first women’s championship game scheduled for 4 p.m. followed by the men’s championship at 5 p.m.
