Boost the Boro, Inc. will host its 2016 Spring Fest event on Saturday, April 30, at the Bladenboro Farmer’s Market in downtown Bladenboro. Boost the Boro members are excited about our annual event this year and have decided to combine the event this year with the Master Gardeners annual plant sale.
Starting at noon the annual “Grilled BBQ chicken and all the Fixins” plate sale will start. This event is scheduled to go until 4 p.m. or until all the food is gone. Boost the Boro members will be selling tickets for $7 each. Plates will also be available for purchase on site plus we will have tables, chairs and tents set up for you to enjoy your meal or you can pick-up and take out. Also, if you want to pick up some of the best desserts money can buy, try the Boost the Boro bake sale of pies, cookies and cakes inside the Farmer’s market.
Also from 1 until 4 p.m. the popular local band Loose Floorboards will perform This popular local band has been playing together for about 20 years and will be entertaining the crowds with a wide genre of classic rock, country, oldies and beach.
