Spread the love

By Cara Beth Lewis

The hosts of the annual, crowd-drawing fall festival known as “Beast Fest” are gearing up for their next big event: Spring Fling. On April 2nd in Downtown Bladenboro, there will be local entertainment, a performance by “Bounce,” food vendors, and a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors. Vendor applications are now available for those who would like to participate.

Spring Fling is an all-day event, beginning at 10 am and ending at 8 pm. With no admission charge or parking fees, the goal is for everyone to enjoy some time in Bladenboro. Boost the Boro is a volunteer-based group with a goal to improve the community and show people that there is much to love about small-town-Bladenboro, which is why they host events such as Beast Fest and Spring Fling each year.

In order to reserve a vendor spot, you must fill out an application and pay a vendor fee. For non-food vendors, the application and payment of $25 must be submitted by March 25th to the vendor coordinator, Claudette Guy. Food vendors must complete a temporary food establishment application from Bladen County Health Department, fill out a food vendor application provided by Boost the Boro, and pay a $125 food vendor fee. Food vendor requirements must be submitted by March 14th. Spaces will not be reserved until a vendor application and fees are received by Boost the Boro.

Vendor questions can be directed to Spring Fling Vendor Coordinator, Claudette Guy, who can be reached at (910)874-4597 or clguyretired@gmail.com.

With questions about the temporary food establishment application, contact Bladen County Health Department at (910)862-6852.
