DUBLIN – Fairmont defeated West Bladen 91-57 Wednesday night in Three Rivers Conference boys basketball action.
Sidney McKeithan, Corry Addison and Nalijha Pittman threw in 6 points each in the first period to lead the Tornadoes to a 26-8 lead.
Senior Jimmy Williams sank a basket and 2 free throws for the Knights in the first period, and senior Jonathan Robinson and junior Drew Harris pumped in a basket each.
Sophmore Tyre Boykin tossed in 2 baskets and 2 free throws in the second quarter. Freshman Shyron Adams dropped in a pair of baskets, and Harris and junior Keshawn Lewis netted a basket each.
Junior Kerron Baldwin-Washington hit 2 free throws to keep the Knights within 52-27 at halftime.
Baldwin-Washington drilled in a 3-point basket and another basket in the third quarter. Williams and Robinson knocked down 3-point shots in the period for the Knights, and Boykin flipped in a basket. Fairmont led 74-40 at the quarter break.
Boykin drove for 2 baskets and canned 2 free throws in the final period for West. Junior Jaheim Lesane cashed in 4 straight free throws, and Eddie Perez-Ortiz nailed a 3-point shot. Center Jackson Norris popped in 2 free throws, and Harris added a basket.
Boykin topped the Knight scoring with 15 points. Baldwin-Washington, Williams, and Robinson followed with 7 points each. Harris finished with 6 points.
Arnette’s 15 points led a balanced Fairmont attack that placed six players in double-figures. Addison, Pittman and Brant McDonald scored 13 points each, and Jaquan Hinson tallied 12 points.
Recognized in Senior Night activities were seniors Jimmy Williams, Jonathan Robinson, Gerardo Reyes and Scott Bowen.
West Bladen will conclude regular season play Friday night at East Bladen.
