BLADENBORO – Six-five senior Cameron Richardson fired in 24 points Friday night to lead Whiteville to a 59-49 Three Rivers Conference boys basketball victory over West Bladen.

Richardson popped in a basket and 3 free throws in the first period, and junior Ty Moss added 2 baskets as the Wolfpack built a 14-8 lead.

Junior Tyre Boykin and sophmore Shyron Adams drained 3-point shots in the first period for the Knights, and center Drew Harris dropped in a basket.

Adams buried a pair of 3-point shots in the second period and hit a free throw. Boykin knocked down a 3-point shot and a free throw, and senior Jaheim Lesane made a free throw as the Knights rallied to within 24-20.

Richardson muscled in a trio of baskets and a free throw, and Brice Pridgen cashed in 3 free throws for the Wolfpack.

Moss sank a basket and 2 free throws, and Wendell Smith threw in 2 baskets to spark an 18-7 spurt that stretched the Whiteville lead to 42-27. Boykin drilled in a 3-ball, and Adams delivered a pair of baskets for West in the quarter.

Boykin blistered the nets with a pair of 3-point shots, four more baskets and a free throw in the final quarter. Junior Nolan Bryant nailed a 3-point shot, and senior Cameron Taylor and Adams added baskets. Five more baskets from Richardson kept the Wolfpack on top.

Moss followed Richardson with 10 points for Whiteville, and Smith totaled 9 points.

Boykin poured in a game-high 25 points for West Bladen. Adams finished with 12 points, and Lesane totaled 5 points.

The Knights will travel to West Columbus Tuesday night.
