WHITEVILLE – Whiteville’s front-line duo of senior Cameron Richardson and junior Antonio McFadden scored 17 points each to lead the Wolfpack to a 66-43 Three Rivers Conference boys basketball victory over East Bladen Tuesday night.

McFadden threw in 2 baskets and 2 free throws in the opening quarter, and junior William Godwin bombed in a 3-point shot and a basket as the Wolfpack built an 18-10 lead.

Senior Darrell Banks fired in a 3-point shot and another basket to keep the Eagles close. Senior Keshaun Davis tossed in a basket and a free throw, and center Robbie Cooley dropped in a basket.

Richardson worked the paint for 3 baskets and 2 free throws in the second quarter to keep Whiteville on top 31-23.

Sophmore Freddy Wooten drained a 3-point shot and another basket for the Eagles in the second period. Davis and Banks added a basket and a free throw each, and Juwan Baldwin pumped in a basket.

McFadden sank 3 free throws and a basket in the third quarter, and Richardson delivered 2 baskets to keep the Wolfpack lead at 44-35.

Senior Greyson Heustess popped in a pair of baskets for the Eagles in the quarter, and Banks and Wooten nailed 3-point shots. Corey McKoy cashed in 2 free throws.

Wendell Smith sparked a 22-8 closing run for the Wolfpack with a 3-point shot and another basket. McFadden and Ervin Moore contributed a basket and 2 free throws each.

McKoy and Heustess buried 3-point shots in the final period for the Eagles, and Banks netted a basket.

Banks topped the East Bladen scoring with 13 points. Wooten finished with 8 points, and Heustess followed with 7 points. Davis totaled 6 points.

The Wolfpack held a big advantage at the foul line connecting on 21 of 37 free throws, while East Bladen made 5 of 11 free throws.

The Eagles will host South Columbus Friday night.
