SoccerTEACHEY – Maynor Espinosa scored four goals as two-time defending state champion Wallace-Rose Hill shut out West Bladen 9-0 on Wednesday in a Four County 1A/2A Conference boys’ soccer game.

Kenny Sevilla had two goals and an assist for the Bulldogs, who are 6-2-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Jose Carcamo, Wilmer Ortiz and Wilson Avalon also scored for Wallace-Rose Hill.

The Bulldogs led 6-0 at half. The game was stopped with 21 minutes remaining because of the 9-goal rule.

West Bladen is 2-4-2 overall and 0-2 in the league. The Knights are scheduled to host Whiteville on Thursday at 6 p.m. in a non-conference game.
