ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen knocked off second-place South Columbus 6-3 Thursday in Three Rivers Conference boys tennis action. “It was a big win for the team,” said Eagle Coach Terry Smith. “I am very proud of them.”

Singles:
Jay McGill (EB) defeated Brandon Cox (SC) 6-2, 6-1
Jackson Bostic (EB) defeated Drake Bracey (SC) 6-1, 6-4
Jake Evans (EB) defeated Evan Cribb (SC) 6-3, 6-0
Jaquan Frink (SC) defeated Will Hester (EB)  6-2, 5-7, 10-4
Drew Wright (SC) defeated Colin Hill (EB) 6-3, 6-2
Peyton Blasser (SC) defeated Garrett Melvin (EB) 6-6 (7-2), 6-4
 
Doubles:
McGill/Evans (EB) defeated Cox/Cribb (SC) 8-4
Bostic/Hester (EB) defeated Bracey/Frink(SC) 8-4
Melvin/Hoyt Register (EB) defeated Wright/Blasser (SC) 8-4
 
East Bladen, now 5-3, will host Red Springs Monday.
