The North Carolina Department of Transportation is continuing to work on the bridge on Mercer Mill Brown Marsh Road in Elizabethtown. The road remains closed near the intersection of Rosindale Road.
The bridge was closed on Monday, February 26th, and the closure was expected to last for 120 days. The former bridge at this location was rated for 5 tons, according to NC DOT.
