Lillian R. Bryant of Elizabethtown has been appointed to the Bladen Community College Board of Trustees as a member at-large by Gov. Roy Cooper, the governor’s office announced Tuesday.

Bryant is the director of the Bladen County Smart Start Partnership for Children, Inc. She has also served as the Delaware family literacy state coordinator in Delaware’s adult education program.

• Reappointed Grady Hunt of Pembroke to the Board of Transportation as a representative of the sixth transportation division. Hunt has practiced government, education and real estate law for more than 25 years. Hunt is currently a partner at the law firm of Locklear, Jacobs, Hunt & Brooks Attorneys at Law.

• Appointed Virginia Lee Jicha of Fayetteville to the Governors Crime Commission as a representative with knowledge of juvenile delinquency and the public-school system. Jicha is a teacher at Anne Chestnutt Middle School. She is also the president of NC, PTA, where she works with a 20 member board of directors to create and implement programs and organization goals.
