CLARKTON – Elizabethtown’s Supplemental All-Stars exploded for 7 runs in the third inning en route to an 11-0 victory over West Robeson National Sunday night in the Buddy Burney AA (Coach-Pitch) Scholarship Games.
 
After 2.5 scoreless innings, Braylon Cromartie ripped a one-out double to leftfield to ignite the Elizabethtown third-inning rally. Tyler Eason reached base on an infield hit, and Cromartie raced home on an error.
 
Omar Powell laced a double to centerfield that scored Eason. Claxton Tatum slapped a single to rightfield, and Niyah Wooten walloped a double to deep left-centerfield that scored Powell.
 
Jackson Smith beat out an infield hit that plated Tatum, and Wooten raced home on an error. Gavin Elks pulled an infield hit to shortstop, and Inman Carson lined a double to centerfield that scored Elks and Carson.
 
Brady Marlowe clubbed a double over the right fielder’s head with one-out in the fourth, and Wilson Clifton knocked him in with a single to centerfield.
 
Collin Cole raked a single to left, and a pair of wild throws on Cromartie’s infield hit cleaned the bases and ended the game on the run-rule.
 
Cromartie batted 2-2 with a double and 2 runs scored. Marlowe finished 2-2 with a double and a run scored. Tatum and Smith were both 2-2 and scored one run each.
 
Carson smashed the 2-run double, and Wooten blasted the run-scoring double and scored a run. Powell drilled the run-scoring double and scored a run.
 
Elks, Conner Hill, Clifton, Cole and Eason added one hit each for the winners. Elks, Clifton, Cole and Eason scored one run each, and Clifton drove in a run.
 
The Elizabethtown defense came up with double plays in the first and fourth innings as third baseman Smith and first baseman Elks speared liners and doubled off runners.
