Leland scored 14 runs in the first two innings en route to an 18-9 victory over the Elizabethtown All-Stars in the Buddy Burney AA Scholarship Games at Clarkton Saturday.
Connor Smith and Tyler Lewis belted first inning singles and scored runs for Elizabethtown.
Elizabethtown rallied for 6 runs in the third to close the gap to 14-8. Davion Lewis, Chase Butler, Smith, Tyler Lewis, Zach Sholar and Nolan Tatum all connected for hits and scored runs in the inning.
Tyler Lewis cracked a fifth inning hit and scored the final Elizabethtown run. Tyler Lewis, Sholar and Tatum all batted 3-3 to lead the Elizabethtown hitters.
Smith and Gabe Cashwell both finished 2-3 at the plate for Elizabethtown. Teammates Butler, Davion Lewis and Ryan Dove added one hit each.
