Elizabethtown’s Sylvia and Mac Campbell were named Braves Club Member of the Year during UNC Pembroke’s ninth annual Golden Braves Awards. It was the second time the Campbells have receive the award for their support of the school’s athletic programs.
The event was held April 25 at Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court. It was the first in-person awards event since the 2018-19 athletic season because of the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions.
The school’s Wellness Center is named after the Campbells. The facility is open to students, faculty/staff and offers community memberships. It features aerobics, free weight and free motion apparatus.
