The History Club of Bladen Community College welcomed esteemed professor Dr. Charles Beem to campus on September 30, to speak about the rule of various British Queens. As a professor of history and coordinator of the British Studies Minor at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Dr. Beem is a regular speaker at conferences on British history. His expertise has earned him an interview with Time Magazine and authorship of several books including The Foreign Policy of Elizabeth I and The Lioness Roared: The Problems of Female Rule in English History.
