Folks throughout Bladen County and the region celebrated the Fourth of July holiday with holidays, picnics, games and more. The residents of Cape Owen Manor subdivision were enjoying the holiday with a parade which took place at 10:30 a.m.
Skies were sunny and the temperatures were warm, bringing folks to the neighborhood from far and wide to enjoy the parade. Folks put their artistic skills to the test as they decorated their cars, golf carts, bicycles, and in some cases, each other, with their best Red, White and Blue finery.
After the parade, folks gathered and enjoyed hot dogs and fellowship.
