GREENSBORO – The Region 4 softball team dropped a pair of one-run decisions Tuesday in the Powerade State Softball games at Carolyn Allen Park. West Bladen rising juniors Carley Dawson and Conner Brisson are members of the Region 4 team.

In their opener Tuesday morning, Region 4 was edged by the team from Region 2 5-4. First baseman Dawson finished 1-2 at the plate and knocked in a run. Brisson batted a perfect 1-1 and played right-field and second base.

In Tuesday’s second game Region 2 was nipped by Region 1 7-6. Dawson belted a hit for Region 2. Dawson again played first base, and Brisson saw time in rightfield and at second base.

Region 4 will close out round-robin play Wednesday at 9 a.m. against Region 3 at Carolyn Allen Park.
