The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging all Bladen County residents to nominate and vote for local places in Carolina Country Magazine’s Carolina’s Finest contest.

The Town of Elizabethtown was notified that Broad Street has been nominated for Finest Main Street/ Downtown. “Our Broad Street is a great mix of long-established businesses and new start-ups. The local ownership and the variety of stores create a very welcoming and relaxing experience,” Chamber Executive Director, Terri Dennison said.

Unlike many other Main Streets, Broad Street has an ample supply of parking and outdoor seating. “The town has worked very hard to make our downtown appealing for residents and visitors,” Dennison added.

The Carolina Finest contest has several other categories including Finest Festival. The Chamber is asking residents and friends to nominate the White Lake Water Festival. The Water Festival is another long-standing tradition. “The Chamber office gets calls all the time from people who want to know when the White Lake Water Festival is happening. They have fond memories of coming as a child with their families,” Dennison said.

Among the other categories are BBQ restaurant, breakfast spot, ice cream shop, musician/band, museum, pick-your-own-farm and Made in NC.

To nominate and vote for Broad Street, White Lake Water Festival and other local places that fit the categories go to carolinacountry.com and look for Carolina’s Finest contest.  Each entry allows a vote in every one of the categories. One entry per household. Contest runs until June 30, 2020.
