The Bladenboro Town Board met on Monday night to hear an appeal of a fine the town issued to Carroll Poultry at their June meeting. The fine was the third such fine the company has received for violating the “flow” they were allowed in their permit. They also have failed to accurately complete their required reports.
On Tuesday, Town Administrator John O’Daniel said company officials were unable to attend the meeting.
“The board made a decision the company will have to pay the fine in full,” said O’Daniel.
Carroll Poultry officials have until August 20th to pay the fine of $22,050.
O’Daniel said the company paid the first fine in full and the board opted to finance the second fine.
