Cape Fear Valley announced Nurses Week is May 6-May 12.

Ashley T. Dowless, Director of Bladen County Hospital Foundation & Public Relations, stated, “For Nurses Week, we’d like to feature some of our amazing nurses. All our nurses go above and beyond to care for our community each day. We are very grateful for their service. A heartfelt thank you to each of our nursing professionals for the many ways they inspire, educate and encourage others. We appreciate you!”

Today’s nurse’s Spotlight: James “Zach” Davis, RN, BSN

James “Zach” Davis is a Bladen County Native and was born in Bladen County Hospital. Zach graduated from BCC with an Associate’s degree in Nursing in 2017, he completed his BSN in 2019 from Fayetteville State University, and is presently pursuing an MSN from Walden University. His plans are to become an FNP and continue to serve the residents of Bladen County and the surrounding communities. Zach started his career in the Emergency Department at Bladen County Hospital and continues to work in the Emergency Department as a charge nurse. Zack is certified in PALS, ACLS, and TNCC. He is also an A-EMT.
