During the evening meeting of the Elizabethtown Town Council, a ceremonial Oath of Office was held for new Police Chief Tony Parrish. Judge Scott Ussery administered the Oath and Chief Parrish was accompanied by his daughter. A full room of Law Enforcement and Emergency officers filled the room in support of Chief Parrish.
Council approved a resolution to authorize the sale of surplus property and a resolution to increase the loan amount for the Downtown Wastewater Collection Rehabilitation and Replacement Project.
In administrative matters, Council approved a proposal from Holland Consultants for consultation on Town Ordinances; approved audit contract with Thompson, Price, Scott, Adams and Co.; approved change orders for Downtown Sewer Rehab Project; approved playground equipment and picnic shelter proposal for Leinwand Park from Cunningham Recreation; approved contract from Geological Resources, Inc. for clean up work at Well #1; reappointed to Elizabethtown Planning Board Chris Adams, Maurice Williams and Heather Tart;; approved the Façade Grant Application from City Sandwich & Coffee Shop; and approved the monthly financial report.
