A familiar person to members of Vineyard Golf at White Lake, Carolinas Golf Association Executive Director Jack Nance, announced in March that he will retire at the end of the year.

Nance and his twin brother Bill, both from Clinton, played a lot of golf in Bladen County when Vineyard was known as White Lake Golf Course.

Jack Nance has been CGA Executive Director since 1992. Prior to being promoted to executive director, Nance served in various roles with the Association since 1984, including communications, course rating, rules and competitions, according to a story on carolinasgolf.org.

It was announced in July that Andy Priest will become executive director in January. Priest, who has previously worked with CGA, has been the executive director of the Alabama Golf Association since 2015.
