This year the Elizabethtown – White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is promoting activities at the Cape Fear Farmers Market on all four Saturdays leading up to Christmas.

The schedule includes:
Nov. 27—Shop Local & Local Talent (any Chamber Member can sign up for free)
Dec. 4—Gingerbread House Contest
Dec. 11— Santa Paws Walk & Pictures of Your Pets
Dec. 18 – Last-Minute Shopping

The Chamber is looking for local talent and performers to volunteer to be part of the entertainment on any of the Saturdays. Anyone interested in performing should contact the Chamber office at 910-862-4368.

The Chamber is also offering a special discount to crafters and home-based businesses who would like to sign up for one or all four Saturdays. The rate is $5 per day for both inside and outside booths (normally $7 per day). Vendors should be set up from 9 AM until 2 PM. Tables will be on a first-come, first-served basis except for regular vendors who will have their reserved spots. Vendors also have the opportunity to display on Sunday, November 28 from 12 noon to 5 PM. Download the vendor form here.

Don’t forget the Tree Decorating Contest – $20 reserves a tree. Challenge your fellow business owner to see which business or organization has the brightest, most spectacular tree. Proceeds go to the Empty Stocking Fund. More info here…

CHRISTMAS PARADE, SANTA, AND TREE LIGHTING – Sunday, November 28

The Christmas Parade has a new twist this year. There will be a grandstand on Broad Street near Leinwands and we will have a float contest. Three independent judges will choose the “Best of Show” of all the floats based on the theme – Our Future Looks Bright. We challenge Chamber members to get creative! The deadline for registering a parade entry has been extended to November 23, Download a copy of the parade form here.

Santa will be at the end of the parade and will appear at the Farmers Market for an hour after the parade to greet the children. He will then travel to the Courthouse for the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

A complete schedule of events can be found on the Chamber’s website.
