Sassy Chick Boutique Paint & Design Store located at 129 West Broad Street in Elizabethtown held a Grand Re-Opening on Friday, April 30, 2021, sponsored by the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

The owner of the store, Shannon Woodell, explained, “Due to Covid our ribbon cutting was postponed for a year. In the meantime, we have expanded our Paint Room to seat 20 painters comfortably.”

During the Covid Pandemic, Sassy Chick Boutique offered clothing, yard and household ornaments, wreaths, bows, and the opportunity for small groups to paint unique creations. Woodell explained her store is now the area’s Elite Retailer for Dixie Belle Paints. The store offers the full line of Dixie Belle Paints and Belles & Whistles paint and accessories.

On Friday, Terri Dennison, Chamber Director, along with Chamber members Anne Beyer, Jennifer Leggett, and Town of Elizabethtown Mayor Sylvia Campbell championed around Woodell and her family, celebrating the occasion with a ribbon-cutting.

Also in attendance were the new Town Manager Dane Rideout, Dr. Amanda Lee and Tiina Mundy with Bladen Community College, Debbie Earl with United Bank, Ricky Leinwand, owner of Leinwand’s and Town Council member, Woodell’s family, loyal customers of Sassy Chick Boutique, and local media representatives.

Before the ribbon-cutting, Woodell explained some hardships she has faced as a business owner. Not only did Covid cause some detours in her plans, but Woodell also faced health challenges. She credited her family and her Lord for her successes. She thanked her family for their support and the Chamber and all those in attendance.

The celebration continues on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Woodell announced anyone stopping by on Friday or Saturday may enter drawings for free giveaways.

Everyone is invited to stop by, check out the store, and book a paint party.
