A large crowd gathered in the new, classy boutique in downtown Elizabethtown for shopping and to help celebrate the new store on Thursday afternoon. Dawn Maynard, Executive Director of the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce presented the golden bows to Amy’s Boutique owner Amy Johnson with a smile.

Maynard announced the special occasion would be the last time for her to  officiate a ribbon cutting ceremony as the Executive Director of the local chamber, but promised Amy and her staff the chamber would support them in every way possible.

Jennifer Leggett, President of the chamber agreed with Dawn about the chamber supporting Amy’s Boutique. Jennifer spoke about the benefits the new store now offers the area and welcomed Amy and her staff.

Town of Elizabethtown Council member, Ricky Leinwand welcomed Amy and congratulated her on opening the well decorated store.

“I think Amy’s opening is great for the town. Amy’s is going to help us, and I hope we can help Amy’s,” Leinwand said. “It’s a beautiful store in a beautiful town.”

After Amy cut the ribbon she thanked her family and friends for all their support, but said most importantly she wanted to thank her Savior, Jesus Christ. She gave thanks to Jesus for helping her in all aspects of her life.

Amy’s slogan is “Making the world a better place, one outfit at a time.”

Amy’s is located at 138 W Broad Street in Elizabethtown.
