The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Luncheon will be held today, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Cape Fear Farer’s Market. Mrs. Terri Dennison, the Chamber Director announced the guest speaker for today’s luncheon will be Mr. Chuck Heustess, Director of Bladen County Economic Development.

Heustess will give an update on projects in the area.

The luncheon will start at 12 noon and the cost for lunch is $10.

Ms. Dennison also made the following announcements in her weekly email reminder.

Bladen Community College Small Business Center is offering a series of courses on non-profit management. Anyone interested in the program can attend either on-campus or by webinar. All classes are on Tuesdays from 6:00-8PM. Call 910-879-5572 for more info:

We are planning a grand opening and ribbon cutting for the Business Incubator where are our new office is located at the end of January. Please bring  your brochures, information materials and display items so that we may show them off during this event.

– Mon., Jan. 20 at 11 AM: The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 32nd Annual Parade.The assembly area will be along West King Street; Elizabethtown NC.  All participants are expected to arrive and check-in at the assembly area no later than 9:30 a.m.  The parade will begin on West Broad Street, travel east to Poplar Street, south on Poplar Street and disband at Fresh Foods IGA; 302 South Poplar Street,  Additional information is available by calling (910) 876-7905. 
– Tues., Jan. 21 at 11AM: Showing of “Resilience: the Biology of Stress& Science of Hope”, Bladen Community College Auditorium.
