Today, online guide Travel Lemming named Charlotte, North Carolina to position #28 on its annual list of the world’s 50 best travel destinations.

Denver (November 15, 2022) – Today, Charlotte, North Carolina was named one of the 50 best places to travel in the world in 2023 by Travel Lemming, a US-based online travel guide read by more than 6 million travelers.
The annual list of 50 best places to travel highlights emerging destinations and hidden gems around the world.
Karen Brand, Director of Communications at the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, commented: “Charlotte offers exclusive experiences in an urban haven, with an ever-evolving cityscape, diverse culinary scene, star-studded sporting events and more. In explaining why Charlotte was selected, the article says “Charlotte provides all the amenities of a larger city without the overwhelm. Diverse attractions make it a worthy destination for a variety of visitors.”
It continues: “The arts, culture, and food scenes are thriving, and there are sports attractions galore—think professional football, basketball, and NASCAR. Centrally located, outdoor recreation in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Outer Banks, and Lake Norman are all within a short drive.”
