Retired from US Navy January 16, 1978 Awards Received by McQueen During His Naval Career included: Navy Marine Corps Achievement Combat Action Navy Unit Commendation Meritorious Unit Commendation Navy Good Conduct (5) National Service Defense Armed Forces Expeditionary (Cuban Blockade) Vietnam Service Vietnam (RVN) Gallantry Cross RVN Vietnam Campaign Joint Service Commendation Letter of Commendation from Navy Surgeon General for Life Saving.
