Santa with the Bladenboro Police Department and members of Southeastern Cruisers Car Club

Bladenboro Police Department and Southeastern Cruisers Car Club brought holiday cheer again this year. The annual Christmas for Kids project ended with a visit from Santa, big smiles and gift giving on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

Officers took children shopping with the donations they collected throughout the year. Children were able to purchase winter coats, clothing outfits, shoes, socks, undergarments, hygiene products and toys.

The Southeastern Cruisers Car Club partnered with the police department as they have in years past to provide the children with bicycles. The local police department’s parking lot was decorated with new bicycles for boys and girls donated by the car club.

“I’d like to give a special thanks to Pizza Palace because they fed the children after the shopping trip and Walmart went above and beyond too.” Bladenboro Police Chief Howell said.

There were 20 children in all according to Betsy Helms with the car club.
