The annual Christmas in July Bazaar and Salad Lunch will be held Friday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Powell-Melvin Agricultural Center in Elizabethtown, according to Krista Johnson, extension agent with Family & Consumer Sciences at the N.C. Cooperative Extension’s Bladen County Center.

Lunch includes chicken, pasta, vegetable and fruit salads, breadsticks and a beverage for $5. Tickets can be purchased from any Extension Community Association member or at the Extension Office located at 450 Smith Circle Drive in Elizabethtown.
Also available from ECA members are raffle tickets for the giveaway of themed baskets of goodies. Vendors, many of them local, will be selling a unique variety of items at the bazaar. Anyone interested in reserving a vendor table should call 862-4591 for information and a reservation form.
The event is hosted by the Extension Community Association (ECA) Ladies and serves as a fundraiser for two scholarships which are awarded to high school seniors each year.
