55 year old Daisy Smith of Clarkton was critically injured in a Monday afternoon wreck on US 701 near Western Prong community and died Tuesday afternoon in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Smith was reportedly trapped in a 2004 Ford Taurus for about 30 minutes. The wreck occurred about 1 p.m. Monday near at the US 701 and Peacock Road intersection.
