UNC-W’s Kayla Thompson had a great golf tournament this past weekend at the Clemson Invitational held at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
Kayla, a Clarkton native and sophomore at UNC-W, placed 18th in a field of 112 players with scores of 72-70-78=220. The UNC-W Lady Seahawks came in 11th in the field of 14 college teams. Winning the tournament was the University of Florida shooting 861. UNC-W had a three-day score of 896.
The Lady Seahawks will host the 16th annual River Landing Classic next weekend at the course in Wallace.
