Former West Bladen golfer and Clarkton resident Kayla Thompson, a member of the University of North Carolina-Wilmington lady golf team, placed 40th in the Notre Dame Clover Cup Golf Tournament held recently in Mesa, Arizona.
Kayla shot 74-77-77=228 as she led the Lady Seahawks to a 6th place finish in a field of 17 teams.
The next tournament for the Lady Seahawks is the LSU Tiger Classic on March 20-22.
