HARTSVILLE, SC – West Bladen grad Clint Allen hammered a 2-run triple that keyed a 7-run third-inning that carried Coker to a 7-2 South Atlantic Conference baseball victory Saturday over Anderson, SC.
Allen walloped his 2-run triple to centerfield to drive in Brooks Estrada and Tanner Crosby. Allen darted home on a wild pitch.
Anderson won the opening game of Saturday’s double-header 10-3. Allen smacked a single to rightfield in the fifth inning and scored on Thomas Lopez’ single.
The Cobras are now 8-8 in league play and 18-12 overall. Cobra and Anderson will complete their 3-game series at noon Sunday in Hartsville.
