SALISBURY – Bladenboro native Clint Allen batted 2-4 and scored a run Saturday as his Coker Cobras defeated Catawba 10-1 in the opening game of a South Atlantic Conference baseball double-header.
Allen beat out a bunt single in the second inning then clubbed a double down the rightfield line in the sixth inning and scored on A. J. Strnad’s single.
In Friday night’s series opener Allen singled and scored the only Coker run in a 12-1 loss.
The Cobras are now 5-4 in SAC play and 13-8 overall. Coker will host Barton in a non-conference game Tuesday at 3 p.m.
