Clint_AllenWest Bladen grad Clint Allen turned in a solid performance this week as his Coker College Cobras won 5 of 6 baseball games.

Allen drove in a first-inning run with a bases-loaded walk Saturday in Coker College’s 14-6 victory over Saint Rose (NY) in the second game of a double-header. Coker also won the first game 5-3.

The Bladenboro native scored 2 runs in Tuesday’s 22-6 victory over Paine College. In the third inning he was hit by a pitch, stole a base and raced home on a wild pitch. In the fourth Allen walked, moved up on two more walks and sprinted home on a wild pitch.

In Coker’s 7-3 win over Chowan in the second game of last Sunday’s double-header, Allen walked in the second inning and eventually scored on a bases-loaded walk. In the third inning he walked and came around to score on a sacrifice fly. Allen also cracked a fifth-inning single and stole a base.

Allen has played in 9 games and has belted 5 hits, drew 4 walks, scored 7 runs and stolen 7 bases. He has played all 3 outfield positions.

Coker is 9-2 on the season and will travel to Erskine Friday to begin a 3-game series.
