Clinton golfers finished 1-2-3 in the NCHSAA Class 2A Mid-East Golf Regional played at Land-O-Lakes golf course Monday.
Clinton’s Reid Darden fired a 69 to claim medalist honors to edge teammate Chandler Perry by 2 strokes. Clinton’s Amy Wooten tied for third place with Midway’s Trey Pope and Fairmont’s Zack Parker. All three players carded a 76.
South Columbus’ Wesley Bryant tied for seventh with a 79, and teammate Anthony Cartrette posted an 80.
Clinton won the team competition by 26 strokes with a 304 total. Reidsville was second at 330, followed by Roanoke Rapids 332 and South Columbus 334.
