Columbus County Farmers Market Announces Cancellations Due to Coronavirus

Annual Plant Swap, Fun Run & Walk Cancelled

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and the governor’s current “stay at home” order, the Columbus County Community Farmers Market board of directors has announced the following cancellations.

  • Plant Swap & Sale, scheduled for April 11 (cancelled)
  • Farmers Market Fun Run & Walk, scheduled for May 9 (cancelled)
  • Poster Contest for k-5 students (cancelled)

 The farmers market is currently closed and is scheduled to open for the 2020 season on Saturday, May 2.  According to Lindy Harold Shuman, president/chairman, the board of directors will continue to monitor the COVID-19 progression as well as local, state and federal advisories regarding essential businesses and make determinations about future operations as warranted.
