The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one individual for the homicide of Felicia Moore Porter. Porter was reported missing on March 11, 2016. She was last seen around Fowler’s Supermarket in Tabor City. On March 12, a body was located in a wooded area in Tabor City and the Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy, concluding the identity of the body as Felicia Moore Porter.
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested one juvenile male for the homicide of Felicia Porter. By law, no further information can be released about the juvenile.
From the onset of this investigation, the District Attorney’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office have been diligently working together to seek justice. The District Attorney’s Office has indicated that they will seek to have this juvenile tried as an adult in Superior Court. If and when the case is transferred, further details will be released at that time.
