The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is planning a Fallen Law Enforcement Officers Recognition for Thursday evening, May 24th, at 6 p.m. Fallen law enforcement officers will be recognized during the service.

The public is invited to attend. The families of fallen officers will also be attending the event.

Columbus County has 11 fallen officers. They are Jesse Simon Long, Bradd Cribb, Hoke B. Smith, Harry T. Long, Milford Hardwick, Lennue D. Hammond, Troy M. Sigmon, Robert “Bob” Hinson, Andy Nobles, Franklin D. Perritte, and Timothy “Shane” Miller.

If you are a family member of a fallen officer and are planning to attend the event, you are asked to contact Susan Lennon at 910-642-6551.
