Monday, November 20th was court day in Brunswick County. On the calendar for Judge Hankin’s court was the case against an elected official in Bladen County.
Friday, October 6th, 2017, Ashley S. Trivette, a member of the Bladen County Board of Commissioners was arrested for Driving While Impaired and Driving with Expired Registration, according to Brunswick County court records.
Trivette did not appear in court on Monday, November 20th. The arresting officers Trooper Godwin, was not inside the court room either due to the birth of his child according to the District Attorney representatives.
Trivette’s case was continued to January 11th, 2018. The Clerk of Courts did note Trivette’s lawyer is Attorney McGee. More information will be provided when it is made available.
