The Bladen County Board of Commissioners met on Monday night and heard a brief presentation from Robert Stafford regarding Lifebridge.
They offer services to clients who need services for various afflictions.

He told the board he wanted to make them aware of Lifebridge and its services. Stafford introduced Michelle Murphy who serves as executive director of Lifebridge.

“Hopefully, we can be of assistance to the residents,” said Stafford.

He noted they work with both Eastpoint and Sandhills MCO.

“We are looking forward to providing services here,” said Stafford.

Also, the board hears from Donald Melvin about an arrest that he endured in 2008. He claimed that he was sent to Dorthea Dix for observation. Melvin claimed he was mistreated while in custody.

Melvin said in 2014 he was arrested again after he parked his truck in the roadway. He said he had to plea bargain to two misdemeanors.

Kirby Johnson addressed the board regarding a water billing issue.
