There will be a a candlelight service Thursday, November 15, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. during “National Family Caregiver Month” and “Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month” to enlighten our communities and leaders to the growing number of families involved in caregiving. The Candlelight Reflection service will take place at the Bladen County Division on Aging located at 608 McLeod Street in Elizabethtown.

Help us to illuminate the critical need for assistance and services for family caregivers of individuals with memory impairment; the frail elderly; chronically ill;  and disabled. Candlelight Reflections is a statewide observance of unity and support for the millions of people who have become caregivers and the acknowledgement for the need to increase research efforts to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and  other related dementias.

To pre-register or for more information, please contact Bladen County Senior Services, Carol Mitchell at (910) 872-6331.
