Cape Fear Valley-Bladen Healthcare held a Community Health Day on Tuesday at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market. “The Health Fair today was a huge success! Community members were very thankful for the services, educational materials and giveaways!
We hope to have another one very soon!” said Ashley Dowless, Director of Public Relations, Marketing for Bladen Healthcare.
Many county residents participated as they were screened for blood pressure and blood sugar levels and received their annual Influenza Vaccine.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Women are encouraged to call the Women’s Diagnostic Center to schedule an appointment for their annual mammograms (910-862-1131).
A special event will be held at the East Bladen Homecoming Football Game Friday night –“Bladen Healthcare Tackles Breast Cancer”.
