“Mr. Speaker, I rise today in honor of North Carolina State University senior Michael Macchiavello, who on March 17th won the NCAA Division 1 national wrestling championship at 197 pounds.

“Mr. Macchiavello is a graduate of Sun Valley High School in Indian Trail, North Carolina, where he was a 4-A state champion wrestler in 2013, when he posted a 61-1 record.  Mr. Macchiavello is not just a champion inside the ring.  He’s already completed a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and is working on a Masters of Arts.

“Indian Trail, Union County, and the entire 9th Congressional District are mighty proud of you.  We wish you the best in what we know will be a great success for you in the future.”

Tonight, Congressman Pittenger will join the Town of Indian Trail to honor Michael Macchiavello by presenting him with a flag flown above the U.S. Capitol.
