CHARLOTTE – Congressman Robert Pittenger, who has led bipartisan efforts to dismantle Fidel Castro’s anti-American voting bloc at the United Nations, had this reaction to President Trump’s decision to hold the Cuban government accountable:
“With full support I embrace President Trump’s correct decision to restrict economic activities with the Cuban military monopoly, which was only supporting a tyrannical government and not helping the Cuban people. This decision will re-assert pressure on the oppressive Castro regime.
“President Obama’s decision to cozy up to human rights and freedom of conscience abusers was un-American and counterproductive. President Trump’s new policy reaffirms that America stands with and supports those countries who respect liberty and freedom.”
