CHARLOTTE – Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) released this statement after the Senate’s passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:
“Are you tired of Uncle Sam picking your pocket? We’re putting an end to that. Early this morning, the Senate followed our lead in the House and passed conservative tax reform to let you keep more of your paycheck, create jobs, and transform the economy.
“On Monday, I’ll work to help take the next step, as the House conferences with the Senate and we can take the best of both bills and send the final legislation to President Trump.”
Early Saturday morning, the Senate passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act 51-49.
