PEMBROKE – West Bladen grad Conner Brisson slugged a 2-run homer and drove in 3 runs Wednesday as her UNC-Pembroke Lady Braves swept Chowan in a Conference Carolinas doubleheader by scores of 5-2 and 9-3.
Brisson blasted her home run over the left field fence in the 4th inning of the nightcap to score Makenna Sibbett ahead of her and stretch the Lady Brave lead to 7-3. It was Brisson’s 2nd home run of the season and raised her RBI total to 8.
In Wednesday’s opener, Brisson lifted a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Sibbett and padded the UNC-P lead to 4-0.
UNC-Pembroke improved to 9-5 in Conference Carolinas and 16-23 overall and will travel to Mount Olive Saturday for a noon doubleheader.
