We also want to inform you about some recent changes to our editorial direction. Due to the divisive nature of crime reports, we will no longer be offering crime reports on any of our websites. This decision aligns with our commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and community-focused environment.
In addition, while we had to cut local sports reporting due to limited funds, our readers have made it clear—they want sports reports back. To meet this demand, we have launched a fundraiser with a goal of $25,000 by the end of 2024. If we reach our goal, we will reinstate local Bladen County sports coverage on BladenOnline.com, bringing back the reporting that our community values.
If you’d like to support our sports reporting fundraiser, you may reserve the sports advertising campaign space. For a 12-month agreement of $700 per month, you will have a prime location on BladenOnline.com’s sports and obituary pages.
Our loyal contributors and team members continue to bring BladenOnline readers information about local happenings, as well as regional information. We are working to bring more content to our readers.
The popular Bladen County Beautiful magazines has increased its traffic, reaching over 25,000 online readers per week. There has also been over 1,700 print copies distributed. BladenOnline also has a new travel blog.
Although we have changed, we continue to receive record-breaking website traffic.
